Delivery Experience
Miguel is currently helping a large environmental advocacy organization develop and use an evaluation and monitoring function to track progress, measure effectiveness, and inform decisions.
Other Experience
As Health Priority Manager of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit in Peru, Miguel supervised the implementation of the delivery plan aimed at reducing anemia in children 0-3 years old. In 2019, after two years of prioritization and establishing coalitions with key stakeholders in the public sector, the anemia indicator improved from 43.5% to 40.1%, a historical minimum for Peru.
Also, as Lead Economist of the Private Competitiveness Council of Peru (PCCP), Miguel developed and supervised the analysis to formulate public policy proposals to improve competitiveness through the following pillars: labor market, human capital, health, and public sector efficiency. Strong advocacy based on evidence led to having more than 50% of 77 proposed policies included in the National Competitiveness Plan of Peru.
