For close to a decade, Leonardo has worked on international cooperation projects with governments in Latin America and Portuguese-speaking African countries on institutional strengthening, good practices exchange, education, industry 4.0, and innovation.
Education
Delivery Experience
Leonardo is currently working to upskill cities in their use of data decision-making. He has also supported DA operations, creating processes to support project leaders in the LATAM region.
Other Experience
Prior to joining DA, Leonardo worked as a Project Manager at the National Service for Industrial Training on a bilateral agenda involving the Brazilian and Colombian Governments. In this role, he promoted industry 4.0 for small- and medium-sized enterprises, creating an innovation ecosystem in Colombia’s Antioquia region.
He also supported the BRICS Business Council with its Skills Development agenda, organizing competitions to help vocational education students in BRICS countries develop career skills.
Before that, Leonardo worked at the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service with the Co-pyme Project, which aimed to promote the development of small businesses in Latin America and the Caribbean. The initiative was financed by the Inter-American Development Bank, with the support of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science, and Culture (OEI).
