Other Experience
Previously, Howlader was a consultant for the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security, State, and Transportation in the areas of border security, emerging technology, public diplomacy, grants management and oversight, transportation, and civil rights. She completed a graduate thesis at King's College London on international law and geopolitical issues in the South Caucasus and an undergraduate thesis on gender-based violence in communities in Iraq and Syria. Howlader has also done extensive volunteer work with a variety of organizations focused on sexual and domestic violence, crisis response, and community organizing.
