Delivery Experience
Hayat is working on a cross-continental project that aims to strengthen implementation capacity and roll out a Result Based Management approach to bring about economic development. She has worked with cities in Africa and the Middle East to enhance the planning and implementation of mayoral initiatives in the areas of climate change, WASH, and urban planning. She has also supported the design and establishment of Delivery Units for Ethiopian regional governments and the Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture.
Other Experience
Prior to joining DA, Hayat led several high-profile projects including the development of the Agricultural Sector Investment Mapping work. She presented her work before the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, resulting in increased public investment in the agricultural sector. She also led the development of the Food, Beverage, and Auxiliary Industry strategy; key policy recommendations outlined in the strategy are currently under implementation.
