Delivery Experience

Dan is a leader within DA's sustainability practice and DA's city-support vertical, as well as in DA's work with governments seeking to accelerate community-driven change. This includes co-leading our American Cities Climate Challenge and U.S. Mayors Challenge teams – which together support 30 mayors working to deliver on ambitious climate and innovation goals – and maintaining strong relationships with DA partner organizations, such as the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC).

Dan focuses on building the internal capacity required for governments to accelerate delivery of projects addressing residents' most pressing needs, with a particular focus on cross-cutting solutions that accrue multiple co-benefits, supporting equitable transitions from old systems while minimizing unintended harm.

He advises mayors and other senior government leaders as they prioritize and deliver major policies and programs, and provides expert facilitation from high-stakes small group settings to large workshops with hundreds of attendees. Dan has deep expertise in sustainable energy and transportation systems, strategic planning, and program delivery, as well as growing competence in collaborative, community-driven change management.

Other Experience

Dan was an engagement manager in McKinsey & Company's NYC office supporting foundation, government, and healthcare clients on large-scale, analytics-driven strategic and operational transformations. Previously, he helped the United States EPA stand-up and deliver a $6B green water infrastructure funding program in collaboration with state and local leaders as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Dan is also an alumnus of the Environmental Defense Fund's Climate Corps program, where he helped a U.S. department store chain improve the energy efficiency of its retail locations.
