Delivery Experience
Amanda is part of the Global Mayors Challenge team, supporting multiple cities around the world to implement, scale, evaluate, and replicate innovative solutions to social challenges.
Other Experience
As head of Social Policy at the Ministry of Social Development and Family of Chile, Amanda led the redesign of Chile's monitoring and evaluation system. She developed evaluation metrics to improve programs and inform budget allocation, created an external technical entity to oversee the system's implementation, and worked across government agencies to institutionalize the system. This has led to more evidence-based policy, better use of government resources, and, ultimately, a higher quality of programs for citizens.
Also in this role, Amanda led the implementation of Chile’s most extensive ever cash transfer program. The program was created as an emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic, reaching 84% of the population (16M people) and allocating almost a third of the national budget (USD 22B). This involved working under immense political pressure with short timelines and limited resources to design, implement, and deliver emergency relief to Chilean families fast and effectively.
