Job Description

As part of the Central Operations team, this role supports organizational growth through communications and employee engagement. This role serves as the main point of contact for several internal systems and events and requires a proactive and self-motivated candidate who stays up to date with best practices in employee engagement and communication for remote and globally dispersed companies. 

The ideal  candidate is an outstanding writer/editor with design capability who can quickly digest complex content and produce high quality materials for a variety of audiences. They are flexible in applying best practices across operations to accommodate regional and team expectations.  This individual will work across regions within a global, fully remote company and therefore, will need to be able to set priorities and manage time well. This is a largely self-managed position and candidates who are self-motivated and able to plan and execute work that will advance headline metrics with little oversight are best suited for this role. Some projects might include:

  • Managing and expanding our employee feedback cycles, including issuing regular surveys, analyzing and reporting on data and working with Leaders on follow up actions
  • Expanding virtual engagement over Slack through knowledge of the platform and tools like Donut and others
  • Arranging and managing monthly all hands meetings
  • Creating and publishing our bi-weekly internal newsletter 
  • Supporting team-specific communication needs 

Your Day-to-Day Would Have You:

  • Connecting frequently with colleagues around the world
  • Working on both routine and project-based communication work 
  • Researching and staying up-to-date with communications best practices and tools
  • Managing several projects at once to deliver great work, on time
  • Collaborating with internal and client-facing roles

This role is remote and offers a flexible working schedule. Some occasional travel may be required. This role does not currently have supervisory expectations. 

This role will also be the main point of contact for our bi-annual Global Retreat, and the ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to collaborate with multiple teams to achieve global outcomes. Previous event planning experience preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Graphic Design, or Communications

Skills/Experience

  • Outstanding writing and editing abilities - able to absorb new, complex material quickly, and generate excellent written product in a short period of time.
  • Experience with design of electronic materials, familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), expertise in Canva.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies/software and utilize these to support communications needs.
  • Expertise in Google Slides and Powerpoint required. 
  • Expertise in Google Suite, Slack and other communications tools required 
  • Experience with Thrive preferred but not required. 
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm for the mission of Delivery Associates 
  • Some background in government or government services 
  • Ability to work independently and across departments.
